Emma Roberts and Evan Peters have called it quits.

The American Horror Story stars have ended their three year relationship and called off their engagement.

“Their three years together just ran its course,” a source told Just Jared. “They have so many great memories together couldn’t make it work in the end. The break up was amicable – there was no drama whatsoever. Emma and Evan are even still friends.”

According to E! News, Roberts was spotted without her ring on Friday and has not “been seen wearing her engagement ring for some time.”

The former couple starting dating in 2012 after meeting on the set of the movie Adult World. Peters proposed to Roberts in 2013 over the Christmas holiday. The two joined forces again for two seasons of the FX hit series American Horror Story, starring in American Horror Story: Coven and American Horror Story: Freak Show.

Roberts and Peters have some exciting projects lined up to help distract them from their breakup. Emma will star in Ryan Murphy’s new Fox series Scream Queens, starring alongside Lea Michele, Ariana Grande and Nick Jonas. Evan is currently filming the latest X-Men franchise installment X-Men: Apocalypse, where he plays Quicksilver.

Scream Queens is set to premiere September 2015 and X-Men: Apocalypse will hit theatres May 2016.
