Latin singer Enrique Iglesias is undergoing reconstructive surgery on his hand in Los Angeles today, after an incident during his show over the weekend.

Iglesias sliced his hand open when he reached for a drone that was taking photos during his show in Tijuana, Mexico, on Saturday, and continued on with the show for 30 minutes after his wound was semi-treated.

A rep for the 40-year-old said in a statement that the surgery will be completed Monday, according to href= http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/enrique-iglesias-undergoing-reconstructive-hand-799163> The Hollywood Reporter.

“Thank you to all for you concern and good wishes,” the statement read. “Enrique is currently undergoing reconstructive hand surgery today. Enrique will resume his tour July 3rd in Mexico City. We appreciate all your wishes and prayers.”

The incident happened midway through his song “Escape” during his Sex and Love tour, notes href= http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3106216/Enrique-Iglesias-undergoing-reconstructive-hand-surgery-slicing-fingers-trying-catch-drone-Mexico-concert.html> Daily Mail. The show was at the Plaza de Toros de Playas in front of 12,000 fans, who took to Twitter to post photos of Iglesias post-accident.
