The FIFA corruption scandal has turned the world of soccer on its head and now the governing body’s former vice president has vowed to release documents allegedly proving the involvement of outgoing President Sepp Blatter.

Reuters reported that former Vice President Jack Warner, appeared in a paid-political advertisement Wednesday and said he feared for his life and therefore would hand over documents and reveal everything he knows.

During the broadcast Warner said, "I reasonably, actually fear for my life." He then claimed that the documents show an “avalanche” of secrets and link FIFA to the 2010 general election in his native Trinidad and Tobago.

"I have kept quiet, fearing this day might come. I will do so no more," he said. "I will no longer keep secrets for them who actively seek to destroy the country."

Warner, who was named in the U.S. Department of Justice indictment last week, said he asked his attorneys to contact authorities with the information he claims to have. The charges he faces include racketeering, wire fraud and money laundering conspiracy.

Prosecutors allege that Warner and 13 others solicited bribes and kickbacks worth upwards up $150 million.

Blatter was not mentioned in the indictment and re-elected days after news of the scandal broke, however, on Tuesday he announced that he would resign.
