As Luke made a toast to Tracy on The Haunted Star, everyone was shocked to see Laura walk in. Luke wondered what she was doing there. Tracy wanted to know too. "I'm here for Luke," Laura said. Tracy then went on the defensive saying that she didn’t want Laura “regurgitating” her and Luke’s past for the millionth time. Laura then told Luke that he needed to hear her out. Tracy then lectured Laura for not being there for Luke when a family secret nearly destroyed him, but Laura pleaded to speak to Luke in private. Luke then told Tracy he had to do Laura the courtesy and listen, but assured her that it would only take a moment and that he would be back to finish his toast to her. Luke and Laura then headed for a back room. Meanwhile, Brad told Lucas this was why he didn’t want them to fuss and have a big wedding because one of their exes could show up and ruin it all. Lucas then questioned Brad about his family. Bobbie then complained to Scott about Luke would never send Laura packing. Meanwhile, Tracy admitted to Dillon, "To her credit, no one does a better damsel in distress." Lulu assured them that there must be some sort of emergency. Tracy then got tired of waiting and when Luke and Laura emerged, Luke announced that he couldn’t go through with the engagement.
Anna was at the airport preparing to leave for Scotland when Sloane arrived. She explained where she was going and how she may or may not be back in a few months. He wondered if her leaving was because of what had happened between them. "It was a mistake but not the end of the world," he told her. Anna admitted that it was part of the reason she wanted to leave, but it was mostly because she was a murderer and that they covered it up. She then added that meant Duke would never get justice. Sloane then reminded her that they were in this together. He then said that he wanted to help her and be her friend. Anna replied that she needed to be alone, that she was lost and needed to find her way again and that relying on other people wasn’t her way. She then told Sloane that if they were ever going to have a friendship or something more, she needed to learn to handle things on her own. He then made her promise to come home. She then left for the plane.
Ava/Denise showed up at the Quartermaines. Michael was holding baby AJ when he answered the door. Ava introduced herself as Denise and spun him the story about being Ava's twin sister. She then told him that wanted to spend some time with her niece and then began babbling about what kind of life baby AJ has had. With some prodding, he let her hold the baby. When he left them alone for a minute, she told baby AJ that she was really her mother. When Michael returned, he announced that it was past baby AJ’s bedtime. Ava/Denise offered to help, but replied that he already had a nanny for that. After she left, he and Sabrina put baby AJ to sleep. He then filled her in about his visitor. "It's like she didn't want to let AJ go," he told Sabrina.
Kiki and Morgan dropped by the penthouse to see Ava/Denise. They learned from the guard that she left in a hurry and contemplated what Ava/Denise and Julian had been talking about. Kiki then tried calling her. It turned out Ava/Denise had left the phone there. Morgan then suggested they fool around while they waited, but Kiki decided to go looking for her aunt. He decided to stay at the penthouse and wait for Ava/Denise to come back. When she did, Ava/Denise was in tears. She explained to Morgan that she had just seen baby AJ. Morgan gave her a hug and told her how weird it felt. "Holding you in my arms, it's like I'm holding Ava," he told her. Then, they kissed.
Nina headed into The Floating Rib for a drink. Silas was there too, shooting pool. She told him about Franco and Nathan trying to frame her. He listened as she explained about her marriage to Ric. "Do you even know him?" he asked. He then got uncomfortable as she went on about how Franco accused her of kidnapping baby AJ for the second time. Silas then apologized for any part he played in her being accused. They then rehashed their past and everything that happened with Ava. Then, Kiki walked in. She snubbed Nina and starts babbling to Silas about Ava/Denise forgetting their dinner plans.
At Nathan’s place, Maxie and Nathan discussed Nina. He told Maxie that he was afraid that he had just pushed closer to Ric thanks to Franco’s scheme. Maxie then chided him for going along with that nut-job, but then said that Nina would forgive him eventually since nobody could stay mad at him for long.
At The Floating Rib, Silas warned Kiki to be careful with Ava/Denise, but Kiki replied that she had a good feeling about her aunt. Kiki then headed out and Franco walked in. He told Nina that he would leave her alone, if she handed over his shares of ELQ. She told him that she couldn’t because she sold them to Rosalie, who gave them back to Michael. He then asked for his cut, but Nina said that she paid his share to Olivia for the bill at The Metro Court. Before walking out, Franco told her that she wouldn’t get away with this.
At Julian’s penthouse, Morgan and Ava/Denise kissed, and she blurted out how much she had missed this. Suddenly, Morgan pulled away and questioned her, but she quickly covered by saying that it had been awhile since she had been with a man. Then, Morgan told her that he should never have kissed her, but Ava/Denise replied that she was enjoying it. He then told her not to speak of their kiss to anyone, especially Kiki. She wondered why just as Kiki walked in. Ava/Denise then apologized for losing track of time and forgetting about their dinner plans. Morgan then explained that Ava/Denise went to see baby AJ and that it upset her. As they talked, Ava/Denise was shocked to learn that Kiki and Morgan were back together. She acted happy for them, but later when Kiki left to order in some food, Ava/Denise scolded Morgan for being a two-timer. Morgan replied that he just got carried away since she looked so much like Ava. Ava/Denise then agreed not to tell Kiki and that what happened between them could never happen again.
At the Quartermaines, Michael told Sabrina about his failed attempt to have Rosalie buy back the ELQ shares from Nina and Franco. Sabrina was suspicious of Rosalie, but Michael felt she hadn’t given him a reason not to trust her. However, he did know that Nina was blackmailing her when she was pretening to be her nurse, but he didn’t know what Nina had over her. Later, Franco stormed in and demanded his money for the ELQ shares that Nina sold to Rosalie, but Michael said that Nina must have lied to him because she didn’t sell them back to him. Franco then said that he would still get his money and stormed back out.
Rosalie went to see Nikolas at Wyndemere to discuss ELQ. Nikolas now owned 46% percent of ELQ stock and only needed one more block of shares to take over. He felt that acquiring Dillon’s stock was his best shot and that he would use Lulu to get them.
Luke asked everyone on The Haunted Star to leave, but Dillon and Lulu both demanded an explanation. Laura then told them that the news of what happened to Luke explained so much about their past and that she felt she had to reconnect with him. Tracy was furious at Luke, who then admitted that he had taken Laura back. Luke then swore to Tracy that he thought his life with Laura was over, but now he realized that he still loved her. Tracy then verbally attacked Luke and told Laura that Luke had been a drug to her since she was a teen. She then added that she was an addict too, but now she was done being Luke’s fool. She then told Luke that when Laura wakes up and leaves him, he will realize what he blew with her (Tracy.) Dillon then told both Luke and Laura off, saying that they deserved one another. Then, Dillon and Tracy left and Dante and Valerie also headed out so that Lulu could talk to her parents. Lulu then told them that if this was what they wanted, then she was happy for them, just not how they handled it.
Back at the Quartermaines, Dillon found Tracy, who was waiting for an “I told you so.” She then said that she knew she was an idiot for believing in Luke, but she knows now that he never loved her. Dillon then told her that she was the strongest and bravest woman he had ever known and he hugged her. Tracy then headed to bed. Lulu then showed up to apologize to Dillon.
Meanwhile, Michael worried about what Franco had said and Sabrina wondered if Rosalie had lied to him about Nina not selling her back the shares.
Back on The Haunted Star, Luke wondered if there was a better way to handle things. However, he said that they did what they had to do. He then downed a drink and Laura took his hand.
Jake/Jason woke up in Elizabeth’s bed after having a dream about playing with Danny. Elizabeth then brought him a cup of coffee and he confided in her about his dream. She told him that it was just a dream and quickly distracted him with sex. Afterward, Jake/Jason told Elizabeth that as much as he liked staying with her, he felt he needed his own place and a job. The two then looked through some job listings online and a job working as security for Michael piqued his interest. She replied that it likely required background checks, but he said that he had a nice talk with Michael one day when he was in GH and that they had connected. Elizabeth then reminded him of the issue with Sonny. Jake/Jason replied that they had made peace and he thought it was worth pursuing the job, joking that he could just fit in with the Quartermaines.
Sam dropped by the Quartermaines with Danny. She ran into Sabrina and the two discussed what had happened with Franco and the ELQ shares, as well as Sabrina’s suspicions that Rosalie was lying to Michael that Nina didn’t sell the shares back to her. They wondered where Rosalie could have gotten the money to buy the shares from Nina. Sabrina then told Sam about catching Rosalie on the phone talking to her “boss,” and that it wasn’t Michael she was talking to. She said that maybe that was where the money came from. Sam agreed to look into things, but she didn’t know where to start. Sabrina suggested that Sam start with Rosalie’s secret and then she told her about how Nina was blackmailing Rosalie with it.
At ELQ, Michael questioned Rosalie about Franco’s shares, which Franco told him Nina sold to her. Rosalie reminded him that she returned all of his money and that she didn’t have access to that kind of cash on her own, so how could she have bought them. He realized that she was right and she figured out that it was Sabrina, not Michael, who was suspicious of her. She then suggested that perhaps Sabrina was jealous of what they once had. Michael then apologized to Rosalie for doubting her and suggested that they pretend the conversation never happened. Later, Jake/Jason showed up to see Michael about the job.
At GH, Franco returned the Egg Salad painting to Obrecht, who was stunned to see that the painting was ruined. Franco told her that Nina did it. Obrecht then replied that she warned him to stay away from her, but Franco thought Nina was blind to Ric’s true motives for marrying her. He then told Obrecht that he was out of ideas to make her see the truth. Obrecht then said that she had one and suggested he use Nina’s mother Madeline. If Ric was after Nina’s money, then Madeline would do anything to stop him since she wanted that money for herself. Franco doubted Madeline would help him, but Obrecht assured Franco that she could make sure that Madeline cooperated. Then, Obrecht made a call to the prison, only to learn Madeline wasn’t there.
Nina met Ric for lunch at The Metro Court. He asked what she had been up to, so she told him about selling off the ELQ stocks. Ric was stunned and questioned her about the money. She wondered why since she thought he wasn’t interested in her money. He then covered and claimed that he just didn’t want anyone taking advantage of her. Then, Molly walked in and after Ric properly introduced them, Nina suggested that Molly call her mom. Molly was stunned.
Sloane dropped by Wyndemere to see Nikolas and subtly threatened him over Lomax firing him, but Nikolas knew that Sloane couldn’t expose him without exposing himself. He then asked him what he wanted. Sloane told Nikolas that he needed work, so Nikolas asked him to help him take over ELQ by getting the last shares he needed. Nikolas then gave Sloane a file on Brooklyn Ashton and asked him to get her to sign over her shares. Sloane agreed to take the job and headed out. Then, Elizabeth walked in and told Nikolas that they had a problem.
At the PCPD, Jordan found that Dante had arrested TJ, though Dante was off on another job. Jordan told Valerie to get him on the phone and then she asked TJ why he was arrested. TJ refused to talk to her and demanded his one phone call. She gave him his call and then tried to get ahold of Dante who wasn’t answering his phone.
Back at The Metro Court, Molly got an unknown call and gladly took it to get away from Nina. TJ called her for help, so she went to Ric and asked him to help TJ. Then, Ric and Molly headed off and Sam arrived to pay Nina a visit.
Ric and Molly arrived at the PCPD to see TJ. Ric went in to see TJ alone and asked him what is going on.
At the PCPD, Ric questioned TJ about his arrest, while Dante arrived and filled Jordan in on what happened. TJ also explained the story to Molly when he was given the chance. TJ was on his way to visit Shawn in Pentonville, but stopped to buy Molly a pair of earrings at Wyndham's department store. The store suspected that he was using a stolen credit card and detained him. This made TJ late to go see Shawn, so he tried to leave, but ended up in a scuffle with a security guard. The guard was knocked down and then demanded TJ be arrested. Ric felt this was a case of bias and suggested that Jordan dissolve TJ’s arrest record. Later, Jordan learned that the press had already gotten a hold of the story and that the mayor was demanding this be handled “by the book” in order to avoid charges of favoritism. Jordan then asked Dante to show TJ to a cell.
At Wyndemere, Elizabeth warned Nikolas that Jake/Jason was getting close to finding out the truth and he may end up working for Michael at ELQ. She worried that working so close to his family would spark his memory and she cried that she could lose him all over again. Nikolas then confessed that he was working to take over ELQ, so Jake/Jason could soon be working for him. Elizabeth then said that she would feel better if he was working for Nikolas since the less time Jake/Jason spent with Michael the better.
Jake/Jason met with Michael at ELQ to ask about the job as head of security. Outside Michael’s office, Rosalie used a listening device to spy on Michael and Jake/Jason’s conversation. Jake/Jason and Michael discussed that there may be a leak in the company and that someone was buying up ELQ shares in order to take over the company. Michael worried that the Cassadines were behind this, specifically Helena. He then asked Jake/Jason if he had an issue with looking into Helena, which Jake/Jason said that he didn’t. As they talked, a picture of Monica holding Danny as a baby caught Jake/Jason’s eye. Jake/Jason then opened up to Michael about his dream about Danny and he wondered if he could have a son of his own out there. Michael then told him some stories about Jason, which made Jake/Jason all the more determined to protect ELQ’s legacy. Michael then made the decision and decided to hire Jake/Jason because he thought he would be a perfect fit at ELQ. Michael even said that it was almost like Jake/Jason was part of the family. Meanwhile, Sabrina snuck up on Rosalie and asked what she was listening to. Rosalie covered and told her that she was listening to Sia’s latest song. She then told Sabrina that Michael was meeting someone, so she could take a seat and wait for him. The two ended up bickering, with Sabrina accusing Rosalie of working for someone else to sabotage Michael. Rosalie then fired back, saying Sabrina was Michael’s personal prostitute rather than his nanny.
At The Metro Court, Sam questioned Nina about her marriage to Ric and breaking things off with Franco. Nina wondered what Sam was after, so she told her that she was looking into what happened to the ELQ shares she and Franco stole. Nina swore she sold them back to Rosalie, but Sam said that Rosalie was claiming she was lying. Sam then realized that Rosalie was good at lying though since she did enough of that for Nina because of a certain secret Nina was holding over Rosalie. Sam then told Nina that Rosalie was telling the entire town that Nina was a crazy liar. She then suggested that Nina blow Rosalie out of the water by revealing her secret, but Nina wouldn’t give up that leverage and walked off.
Madeline surprised Franco and Obrecht by showing up at Obrecht’s office. She laid into Franco for being part of the gang who left her behind in Pentonville. Obrecht then asked her how she got out and Madeline said thay it was thanks to her new lawyer. She then revealed that all charges against her had been dropped after Ava died and nobody was left to testify against her. Franco then apologized to Madeline for what happened to her and then asked for her help protecting Nina’s fortune from her new husband Ric. Obrecht then told Madeline that if it was up to Ric, neither she nor Nina would see a dime of that money. Madeline refused to help Franco, which made him wonder why. She then told them that she didn’t care anymore and that being in prison made her reflect on her misplaced values. Madeline then proclaimed that money was nothing and that “freedom was everything,” which caused Obrecht to burst out laughing. Franco then asked Madeline if she cared about Nina and the fact that Ric was using her. Madeline then suggested that they wait and see how Ric measured up.
Sam showed up at the Quartermaines to see Sabrina. She filled her in about what Nina told her and she verified her story. Sabrina guessed that her suspicions of Rosalie were correct. Sam then told her that she had a plan for how they can get to the truth.
Down the hall, Tracy ranted about Laura to Dillon. He thought that she ought to be angrier at Luke. She beat herself up for trusting Luke. Tracy then said that she felt like a born patsy, but Dillon then reminded her of how many times she had bounced back. "I don't know if I have any fight left in me," she admitted to him. After he left, Sabrina wandered in. She told Tracy that she could understand her situation. Another woman destroyed her relationship too but her best friend helped her through it. Tracy replied that she didn't have any friends so Sabrina offered to be one for her.
Laura wandered into Wyndemere as Nikolas was barking at Sloane over the phone. He was surprised to see her. They then chatted about business and she recalled when his grandfather tried to take over ELQ. She then told him about breaking up Luke and Tracy. Nikolas thought she could do a lot better than Luke, but he gave her his blessing anyway. She then advised him not to let work consume his life.
Lulu joined Luke for a drink on The Haunted Star. She wanted to know why he had reunited with mom and broken Tracy's heart. He replied that he hated what he had done to Tracy. He was about to say something when Dillon stormed in, demanding answers, but Luke couldn't say anything. This infuriated Dillon. As he lunged at him, Laura arrived and yelled at Dillon to stop it. Luke then finally blurted out that everything he said to Tracy last night was a lie.
Michael showed Jake/Jason around ELQ and introduced him to Rosalie. Michael then explained that he had hired Jake/Jason to find the mole at ELQ. Jake/Jason then headed off to meet his security team. Rosalie then told Michael that hiring him was a mistake since Jake/Jason could be a mole for the Cassadines, but Michael said that had had Jake/Jason checked out. She worried he checked out all his employees. He admitted that he didn't have her investigated because he trusted her.
Meanwhile, Sam snuck into ELQ and planted a bug in Rosalie's phone. Jake/Jason bumped into her. He filled her in about his new job. She then asked him to a double-date with her and Patrick and then left. Rosalie exited the office and Jake/Jason headed in to see Michael. He informed him that he had gotten a lead on the mole. Simultaneously, Rosalie called Nikolas to fill him in about Jake/Jason.
Valerie brought Dante some breakfast at the PCPD. He was distracted by thoughts of TJ sitting in a cell. She told him that she had been targeted for her race too. He worried that he may have been acted on prejudices he was unaware of. Valerie told him not to go down that road, took his hand and said that the hate in the world wasn't coming from him. They then shared a long look until it was interrupted by a phone call.
Meanwhile, TJ was brought to the interrogation room to see Jordan. He railed at her and declared his innocence. She swore that she was trying to make things right, but that the footage of the incident was already leaked to the press. He suggested that she quit. Jordan then promised to figure something out for him. TJ suggested that the PCPD only puts black people in prison. She blamed the guard, but not Dante. TJ refused to trust her ever again. Jordan then told him that Shawn knew she was a cop for months and reported her to Duke, who tried to have her killed. "But Mr. Lavery was so nice," he replied. He then changed the topic back to his innocence and blamed her for keeping him there.
