With Season 6 of Game of Thonres set to begin filming in a few weeks, we now officially have our list of directors.

According to Entertainment Weekly, one notable addition for next season is Jack Bender, a newcomer to Game of Thrones. Bender is well known for his work on Lost, directing 38 episodes from throughout the show including the series finale.

Another interesting tidbit is that Miguel Sapochnik will be returning to direct episodes 9 and 10 of Season 6. Sapochnik was the director "Hardhome," easily the most exciting episode of last season. Could the final two episodes of the Season 6 consist of something huge with the scale of the Battle of Hardhome?

Other returning directors include Jeremy Podeswa, who directed "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken" and "Kill the Boy," and Mark Mylod, who directed “High Sparrow” and “Sons of the Harpy.” Finally there's Daniel Sackheim, a newcomer who has previously worked on FX's The Americans.

Game of Thrones' sixth season is expected to begin filming in late July, according to Deadline. It will air on HBO sometime early next year.
