Alex Trebek has had to read a lot of crazy things in Jeopardy! clues over the years and has often been forced to show off his rap skills. Those skills came in handy again last night when he was required to ‘perform’ a bit of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song.
“In the theme to this ‘90s sitcom, ‘I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8 & I yelled to the cabbie, Yo, homes, smell ya later!’” was the clue. Thankfully, a contestant knew the right answer.

This isn’t the first time Jeopardy! producers have tested Trebek’s rapping and singing skills. In fact, as Billboard notes, last year, there was a whole category full of rap lyrics.
If you go even further back, you can find another category called “MC Trebek In The Hizzouse.”
Needless to say, Trebek probably isn’t going to start a second career as a rapper.
