NBC is trying a new reality show idea with Better Late Than Never, which the network bills as an alternative comedy series. The new show will star actors Henry Winkler, William Shatner and three other celebrities crossing things off their bucket list.

Shatner and Winkler will be joined by Pittsburgh Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw, boxer-turned-cooking appliance salesman George Foreman and comedian Jeff Dye on a trip to several cities in Asia in August.

The five men will go to Tokyo, Kyoto, Seoul, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Chiang Mai to enjoy the food, learn about local customs and meet locals, all while accomplishing things on their bucket list. They will also become friends throughout the journey and learn to support each other.

Winkler was recently seen on NBC in Parks and Recreation and also starred on USA Network’s Royal Pains. He’s still best known for starring as The Fonz on Happy Days. He is one of the executive producers on the one-hour series, which was just announced today.

Shatner is still Star Trek’s Captain Kirk to millions around the world, although he has recently appeared in The Practice and Boston Legal. He’s also the Priceline.com spokesman.

Bradshaw won four Super Bowls with the Steelers and is now an analyst on Fox NFL Sunday.

Dye was a runner-up on Last Comic Standing and has since made a special for Comedy Central and appeared on MTV. He’s the current co-host for NBC’s summer series .

Lastly, Foreman is an Olympic gold medalist in boxing and was a two-time heavyweight champion of the world before becoming a businessman. His George Foreman Grill has sole over 100 million units.

NBC didn’t say when the show will premiere.
