Hugh Hefner has responded to his former No. 1 girlfriend Holly Madison’s shocking claims about her life in the Playboy mansion, which she wrote about in her memoir Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny.
Among her claims, Madison wrote Hefner offered her Quaaludes one of the first nights partying with him and accused him of trying to “buy” her to get her to stay with him.
He’s now telling Us Weekly Madison is trying to stay relevant by writing about their former life together in her book.
“Over the course of my life I’ve had more than my fair share of romantic relationships with wonderful women. Many moved on to live happy, healthy and productive lives, and I’m pleased to say remain dear friends today,” he said in a statement.
This isn’t the case with Madison, who’s now married with a 2-year-old daughter, Rainbow. “Sadly, there are a few who have chosen to rewrite history in an attempt to stay in the spotlight. I guess, as the old saying goes: You can’t win 'em all!" he continued.
