Three months before he was arrested for reckless driving in South Carolina, former child actor Jake Lloyd reportedly assaulted his mother, Lisa. A police report from the incident reveals that Lloyd, 26, suffers from schizophrenia.

TMZ obtained the Indianapolis Metro Police Department report, which shows that his mother told police that he was off his medication at the time of the alleged assault. Lisa told police that Lloyd showed up at her home and yelled that she ruined his life. Lloyd knocked her down, stomping on her arm several times.

When police arrived, Lloyd had already left and Lisa decided not to press charges.

Lisa later spoke with TMZ, noting that he has been showing signs of schizophrenia since he was 19. The family hopes to help him once he is released from jail.

Lloyd was arrested for reckless driving after leading police on a chase that continued for miles. He eventually lost control of his car and hit trees.

According to The Associated Press, Lloyd told police that his last name was “Broadbent,” but a former talent agent confirmed that it was the actor.

Lloyd starred in 1999’s Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace as the young Anakin Skywalker and appeared in Jingle All The Way. He retired from acting in 2005, after appearing in Madison with Jim Caviezel.
