We've heard that Daredevil Season 2 might be adding another villain character, and a new rumor suggests Jason Statham might be the actor to fill that roll.
According to Latino Review, Jason Statham is being eyed for a role in the second season of Daredevil, and the rumor is that he'd be playing Bullseye.
In the comics, Bullseye is a villain with insanely good markmanship and a vendetta against Daredevil, although he doesn't actually have any superpowers. Bullseye may not be the only villain joining the mix in Season 2, as according to Slashfilm, also rumored to be in the season are Mr. Fear, Elektra, and Mysterio. Mysterio is actually a Spider-Man character, so that could potentially tie in to Marvel's upcoming depiction of Spider-Man in the cinematic universe.
Though this isn't in response to the rumor, Slashfilm actually dug up a recent quote from Statham where he seemed dismissive of Marvel, saying of being in a Marvel role that anyone can do it. So maybe he isn't that interested in Daredevil after all.
Daredevil's second season is expected to begin filming at the end of June. The entire first season is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
