The last episode of Community’s sixth season is available on Yahoo Screen today, but it might not be the last we hear of the Greendale Community College gang that no network can kill. Star Joel McHale told Conan O’Brien last night that he’d really like to make the #SixSeasonsAndAMovie dream come true.

Community was cancelled by NBC after a low-rated fifth season, even after creator Dan Harmon came back. When all hope seemed lost, Yahoo Screen miraculously came on board to make the “Six Seasons” part of the dream a reality. Now, we just need a movie, which seems really unlikely. But, McHale said that if Harmon is allowed to write it, he’d do a movie.

“I think we will do a movie, if Dan will write the script,” McHale told Conan. “Believe me, I’d love to do another season.”

During the show’s panel at SXSW, Harmon said that he thinks Yahoo would be interested in a movie. But at the moment, nothing is set in stone. It’s clear that the team enjoyed working with Yahoo, since the company was hands-off during the entire season and episodes were a few minutes longer than they would have been on NBC.

Community’s current cast also includes Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Ken Jeong, Keith David, Paget Brewster, Danny Pudi and Jim Rash.
