Kelly Osbourne is getting some backlash for dressing up as Rachel Dolezal, the former NAACP leader who lied about her race.
She posted a photo of herself on Instagram with a curly wig and wrote “#CallMeRachel #MyCasualLook.”
Osbourne is being called a hypocrite for mocking Dolezal because of the way she handled Giuliana Rancic’s joke about Zendaya on Fashion Police.
Osbourne quit the show because she was furious with Rancic for joking that Zendaya’s hair smelled like “patchouli oil” and “weed.” Zendaya called Rancic ignorant for perpetuating stereotypes about African Americans' hair.
As for Dolezal, she broke her silence on the Today Show this week, saying she isn’t 100 percent sure her parents are her biological parents.
“It’s a little more complex than me identifying as black or answering a question of, are you black or white?" she said.
Osbourne tweeted when the Dolezal news went public, “This has utterly shocked me!!! It's a #WholeNewLevelOfWrong.”
