Kim Kardashian has a prestigious speaking engagement lined up for next week at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco, Calif.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star will give a lecture on the objectification of women in media as well as do a book signing for her selfie book Selfish.
Newsday reports the Commonwealth Club’s website also says she will discuss “the business of millennial culture.”
Many see the upcoming lecture as hypocritical, considering the racy nature of her image. She has voluntarily posed nude, including her Paper Mag photoshoot which aimed to “break the internet.” She also rose to fame after a sex tape was leaked with her ex-boyfriend Ray J.
Many took to Twitter to laugh at the irony of it, with one user writing, “Kim K., the woman whose claim to fame is a sex tape, will speak about objectification of women in the media. Really,” and another tweeting, “Kim Kardashian will speak at the Commonwealth Club on the objectification of women in the media. Sex tapes sold separately.”
The event will take place on June 30.
