Kylie Jenner proves that she is one independent woman.

The reality star revealed that she pays for everything, not her mom. The youngest Jenner sister sat down with British InStyle and explained her financial situation.

My mom cut me off financially three years ago,” she explained, as noted by E! News. “So I pay for everything—my car, my gas and food as well as my clothes.”

So how does the 17-year-old afford all that? Jenner, along with her stylish sister Kendall work with famous brands like PacSun and Topshop to create their seasonal fashion lines. The two announced their Topshop collaboration in February and revealed that it will provide shoppers with clothes that reflected the "LA lifestyle and modern, eclectic design aesthetic” that the sisters are known for, notes WWD.

"It's very light and flowy, and we based it off the typical California girl. We love it. It's super easy and summery," Kendall said about their signature collection with the British retailer.

Fashion is without a doubt a big component of Kylie Jenner’s life. She told British InStyle that she opts for more comfortable clothes when it comes to her own personal style, kind of like her older sister Khloé Kardashian. But when she’s dressing to impress, she takes a note from her other sister, Kim Kardashian, and her style.

"I feel like I dress like Khloé on my down days and Kim when I'm going out," she explained. "If I'm just running out I'll throw on a cute T-shirt, a pair of leggings and my Timberland boots. If I'm dressing up I love Céline and Saint Laurent, or for accessories Alaïa, Givenchy or Gianvito Rossi."

The July issue of British InStyle is available now, along with Kendall and Kylie’s Topshop line.
