KFC is busy trying to repair their reputation after a man claimed he was served fried rat last week. The fast food company got his piece of mystery meat tested and low and behold, it was chicken.
KFC spokesman Rodrigo Coronel says an independent lab test has indicated Devorise Dixon’s claims about getting fried rat in his order are false.
At the time that Dixon, 25, posted photos of a piece of meat that was shaped as a rat, KFC said in a statement that he wasn’t being cooperative with their investigation.

“We are aggressively trying to reach Mr. Dixon, and we request that he return to the restaurant with the product for testing,” they wrote on Facebook at the time.
Huffington Post reports Dixon’s attorney did eventually submit the meat in question for testing.
“The right thing for this customer to do is to apologize and cease making false claims about the KFC brand,” Coronel said. It’s possible KFC will file legal charges against Dixon, with Coronel saying they’re “reviewing all options" at this time.
