Lifetime sure knows how to make movies fast. Just weeks after greenlighting it, Lifetime has announced the premiere date for The Unauthorized Full House Story. Couldn’t they come up with shorter titles for these?

News of the project first surfaced in April, just after the real John Stamos announced an authorized sequel series called Fuller House for Netflix. Lifetime certainly knows how to piggyback on news events.

The movie will be written by Ron McGee, who also wrote last year’s The Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story. That one wasn’t exactly a ratings winner though, only drawing 1.6 million viewers when it debuted last fall.

Lifetime announced that Unauthorized Full House will debut on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 8 p.m. The cast features Garrett Brawith as Bob Saget, Justin Mader as Dave Coulier, Justin Gaston as Stamos and Stephanie Bennett as Lori Loughlin. The rest of the cast includes Shelby Armstrong, Brittney Wilson, Dakota Guppy, Jordyn Olson, Blaise and Kinslea Todd (Yes, Lifetime found twins to play the Olsen twins), Aislyn Watson and Jaime Schneider.

What does Stamos think of the movie? In a now-deleted tweet, he wrote, “Yeah right, good luck with that.” Coulier also called it hysterical.
