Hulu has enlisted Michelle Monaghan for a new original drama series titled The Way. It will be produced by Parenthood’s Jason Katims.

The Way currently has a 10-episode order, with Mike Cahill (Another Earth, I Origins) directing the first episode, reports TheWrap.

Monaghan is set to star as Sarah Cleary, a member of a controversial movement who struggles with her own truths and falsehoods. The main theme is finding out how to live the live you have, rather than the one you want.

The Way is produced by Universal TV and Katims’ True Jack Productions. Jessica Goldberg (Parenthood) is writing.

Hulu also has the James Franco-starring 11/22/63, based on Stephen King’s novel. The streaming service also revived The Mindy Project after it was cancelled by Fox.

As for Monaghan, she was most recently seen on TV in the first season of True Detective. On the big screen, show was recently in Source Code, The Best of Me and Better Living Through Chemistry. She also stars in the upcoming Adam Sandler action comedy Pixels, which opens on July 24.
