Former The Office stars Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak have confirmed they will be collaborating on a book together.
The former couple - turned best friends, were on a panel at BookCon on Saturday, at the Javits Center in New York, where Novak interviewed Kaling about her second memoir, Why Not Me? that comes out in September, according to Fox News.
The two did not say much about the new book but Kaling showed much enthusiasm talking about it.
“It’s going to be awesome,” Kaling said. “We just started working on it. I love working with him…and the ideas that we’ve had so far have been super exciting.”
Novak added that the book is “very early in the creative stages.”
Kaling told Vanity Fair, "It won't be a tell-all about our relationship...We just did a work session on it. I think it's going to be great and funny, though."
Kaling’s first memoir Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me (And Other Concerns) was released in 2011 and was on the New York Times Bestseller list, and was written while she was working on The Office. Novak is also an author, his books One More Thing, and The Book With No Pictures, were also on the New York Times Bestseller list.
Kaling also talked about her show The Mindy Project, and how it was picked up by Hulu, after Fox cancelled it last month.
