Mindy Kaling has a message for fellow actors who claim they don’t enjoy sex scenes: stop lying.
The Mindy Project star writes about it in her new book Why Not Me?, saying everyone’s lying about not enjoying shooting sex scenes, "every last one of 'em.”
"Obviously onscreen sex is not actual penetrative sex, but, as any religious high schooler will tell you, simulating sex can be pretty damn enjoyable as well," she wrote.
Washington Post reports Kaling cites celebrities who she claims are lying about it, like Friends with Benefits co-stars Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis.
One complaint most actors bring up is the crew on-set watching the sex scene happen, but she wrote, “To that I say: the more, the merrier! Most of those people are artists whose job it is to make sure your physical imperfections are cloaked in mysterious shadows. By the end of the shooting day, you’ll wish there were more people there.”
