Are you tired of needing to lug your laptop around to enjoy Netflix while traveling? Well, now you won’t, as long as you are staying at a Marriott hotel. The two companies announced a first-of-its-kind deal today, allowing guests to use their Netflix accounts on TVs in their rooms.
The deal launched right away in six Marriott hotels and will be in six more by the end of the summer. By the end of the year, Netflix will be in 100 Marriott properties. By the end of 2016, that number will triple.
“Our collaboration with Netflix responds to changing consumer preferences in the way our guests access and watch content, while recognizing the leading role Netflix is playing in driving this transformation,” Matthew Carroll, vice president brand management, Marriott Hotels, said in a statement. “Because consumers are choosing to take their streaming content with them when they travel, Marriott Hotels is making the industry’s first rollout of Netflix a priority.”
This will let guests use HDTVs in hotel rooms to watch Netflix programming for the first time. You now won’t have to use your small tablets or laptops to enjoy Netflix shows. Guests just have to select “Internet TV” with their remotes for access. You do have to have your own Netflix account already though.
The deal also comes just before the third season of Orange is the New Black becomes available in July.

· San Jose Marriott
· Princeton Marriott
· Newport Marriott
· Dallas/Fort Worth Marriott Solana
· Bethesda Marriott Suites
