Nick Jonas and Olivia Culpo have split.
The 22-year-old singer and the 23–year-old model have called it quits after almost two years together.
"This has been a sensitive matter and both of them still love and care about each other and only want the best for one another," an insider told E! News.
Sources believe that the breakup was due to Jonas’s busy schedule.
"The long distance and ups and downs have been weighing on the two of them lately and it has not been easy but they know this is the best decision for them at this time."
According to Us Weekly, the former couple’s visit to New York last week sparked breakup rumors. Sources say that the two did not stay in the same hotel or “even see each other.”
Jonas opened up about the struggles of a long-distance relationship while on Good Morning America on June 12. He explained that the “long distance is tough,” but that their relationship was “all good.” Apparently not because their breakup was confirmed a few days after his interview.
Since their breakup, Culpo has been tweeting several inspirational messages to her followers, including a quote from Maya Angelou.
“People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel,” she tweeted.
