Shaun Robinson has announced she’s leaving Access Hollywood after 16 years as host, choosing to focus on developmental opportunities within NBCUniversal.
Robinson joined Access as host in 1999. Her production company, Robinhood Productions, Inc., has signed a deal with NBCUniversal, which will allow her to create and produce both scripted and unscripted series across the network’s platforms.
“I am going to miss all my friends here because we are truly like a family,” she told Access in a statement. “Television has changed so much since I first sat at the anchor desk and it's time to take my career to the next level.”
“There are so many more opportunities awaiting me, both on-camera and as a producer. I'm extremely excited about creating fun and meaningful content through my production company,” she continued.
The Wrap reports over her 16 years, she’s been co-host of Access Hollywood Weekend and a correspondent for Access Hollywood. She won’t count out future on-air opportunities, adding in her statement she “will certainly be back in front of the camera soon.”
