Shay Mitchell, star of Pretty Little Liars, is opening up about her childhood and how different she is compared to her popular character Emily on the hit ABC Family show.
In a recent interview with Seventeen Magazine, Mitchell explained that growing up she was a unique child. "I was a hippie child. I find the human body so beautiful."
Mitchell said that she is proud of her body and isn't ashamed to show it off but it's not like she is running down the street naked anytime soon. "I'm in my own house, and I always have a bathrobe really close to me because if there were an earthquake, I'd have to be able to run out with something," said the Pretty Little Liar star.
Pretty Little Liars is currently in its sixth season on ABC Family. Mitchell plays Emily on the show and opened up about the differences between herself and Emily. The show thrives on drama, murder plots and romance but in real life Mitchell isn't focused on drama.
"I have friends who like that drama. I'm not one of those people," she said. "If you're a suitable, positive partner, then great, I'd love to add you to my life. But I don't need anybody to feel complete. I don't need to be with somebody just to not be alone."
Liars has become a force on social media, with fans tweeting their theories and reaction to the show in real time. During the shows season four finale, it became the most-tweeted series telecast of the year, Variety added.
