Six years ago today, Michael Jackson passed away. The King of Pop is remembered today not only for his music and videos, but for the impact that he had on the music industry as a whole.

On June 25, 2009, Jackson was given a lethal dosage of propofol by his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray. Murray was later convicted of involuntary manslaughter, according to The New York Times. Jackson was 50 years old.

During that time, the "Thriller" singer was preparing for a comeback tour. The rehearsal footage was later documented in the concert film, Michael Jackson's This Is It.

Jackson's rise to fame started when he was only six years old. He performed hits like "ABC" and "I Want You Back" with his brothers in a group named The Jackson 5. Years later, he ventured off with an immensely successful solo career. Thriller, to this day, remains the best-selling album of all time, according to the RIAA. Jackson received 13 Grammy Awards and sold over 400 million records worldwide.

In 2014, his estate released a posthumous album entitled Xscape. The release of the album's first single, "Love Never Felt So Good," made Jackson the first artist in history to have a top ten single on the Billboard Hot 100 in five different decades, as per Radio.com.

Today, we remember the King of Pop through his top ten visuals.
