Many war movies have been made for decades, showcasing the different aspects of fighting, tragedy, and how it resulted in emotional turmoil for not only the soldiers, but the family and loved ones left behind.

TheCelebrityCafe.com has already focused on movies that were made to show both WWI and WWII, respectively. There have been plenty of Vietnam films made and even some regarding the Iraq war, such as American Sniper, which had critical acclaim from critics and moviegoers.

The most recent war that comes to mind is the Iraq war. It may have been 12 years since it began, but there have been films that have been made that focused on soldiers and their families, including one in which a father must try to tell his daughters their mother isn’t coming home.

From movies such as The Messenger to Zero Dark Thirty, many different aspects pertaining to the war and its effects have been made for Hollywood films.
