Tracy Morgan has had a physically and emotionally draining year, but now things are starting to look up for the comedian. On Monday, Morgan was informed that he would be receiving a spot on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Morgan expressed his gratitude on Twitter after being chosen.

He tweeted, “I am honored to be getting a walk of fame star. I hope they put me next to my biological father Charlton Heston from Planet of the Apes!”

In an interview with Matt Lauer earlier this month, Morgan expressed his fear that he would never be funny again due to a car crash that left him critically damaged.

“I love comedy, and I wonder how I’m gonna be funny again. Remembering my identity. What do I do?”

Morgan is still recovering from the crash, but is overwhelmingly thankful for all the support he has received from family, friends, and fans.

“I promise you,” he vowed, “one day when I’m 100 percent, I’m going to grab that mic and I’m never going to let it go. I’m gonna be the funniest I can be, ‘cause I ain’t never going to take life for granted no more.”
