South Park has been on the air for nearly 20 years now, and according to the creators, the show won't be stopping anytime soon.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone told IGN this week that they plan to keep making South Park until the show is cancelled. Given how massively popular it still is after all this time, that cancellation most likely isn't on the horizon.

When asked if they had any ideas for the series finale, Parker said quite honestly that the show will probably end with a fizzle.

"I think it's just going to end with some dud, and we're gonna go, 'F*** this, man,' and walk away," he said. Stone continued the thought by saying they'd probably go out by being sued or being thrown off television.

According to Screen Crush, the show will run at least through 2016, at which point Comedy Central will need to order more episodes. But while some were speculating 2016 could mark the end for the series, Parker and Stone aren't ready to say goodbye to South Park quite yet.
