HBO released two more trailers for the second season of True Detective, showing just how dangerous this new crime will be for the movie stars who have signed up. The new season stars Rachel McAdams, Vince Vaughn, Colin Farrell and Taylor Kitsch.
In the first 30-second spot, titled “Chaos,” it appears that Farrell’s detective character is called in specifically to help solve whatever the murder is in Los Angeles. Vaughn’s crime lord also needs a direction, “or I may just start pulling down walls.”
The second trailer, titled “Stand,” features no dialogue, but again, shows off the four main characters. Kelly Reilly is also spotted in the second trailer.
The eight-episode season was once again written by Nic Pizzolatto. However, unlike season one - which was completely directed by Cary Fukunaga - season two will have several different directors. Justin Lin helmed the first two episodes.
True Detective starts on June 21. You can check out the first trailer here.
