Vince Vaughn was on the cover of the British GQ magazine and he spoke about his feelings when it came to the issue of guns and how he feels about the American government.

According to GQ magazine, Vaughn feels the reason that we have the second amendment in place is in order to “resist the supreme power of a corrupt and abusive government.” He felt that it was not just a right to have guns in your home, but to also have guns in schools in order to protect children,

Vaughn pointed out that the people who cause mass shootings in public places choose these areas because they are defenseless and guns aren’t around to stop them. The True Detective actor likened the banning of guns as “banning forks in an attempt to stop making people fat.”

The Guardian reported that he also added that he felt the right to bear arms and “freedom of speech” go hand in hand. He said, “It’s about the ability of the individual. It’s the same reason we have freedom of speech.”

As for his feelings about our government, Vaughn also felt that while laws are always being written that are supposed to protect us, he does not think they actual work and that there is “corruption” within the government.
