Former Disney star Zendaya has no problem calling out racist or sexist comments on the Internet and earlier this week she did just that when she replied to a tweet that made fun of a how a woman looked without make-up.
The twitter account “Manstagram” is known for rude and degrading comments about women. Manstagram has over 200,000 followers and is unfortunately one of several anti-woman twitter accounts, according to Buzzfeed
On June 7th, Manstagram tweeted about YouTube make-up guru Shannon and made a comment that insinuated that she was ugly without make-up.
“This is why our first date is running a mile around the track to see if you sweat the makeup off,” the tweet said.
It has since been deleted from the account, but Zendaya kept the image so that everyone could see how ridiculous Manstagram is.
She responded to the comment with a tweet that said, “@Manstagram_that awkward moment when this tweet is irrelevant cause she’s slaying both ways #wannaborrowmyglasses.”
Zendaya gained her fearless reputation when she wrote an important speech about the racist comments made about her hair on E!’s Fashion Police.
Giuliana Rancic said that her dreadlock hairstyle at the Oscars probably smelled like “patchouli oil or weed,” to which Zendaya accused her of being “ignorant.” Rancic immediately apologized, and the two are apparently now in good standings with one another.
Manstagram didn’t get let off so easy.
