Authorities in Boston have said that ‘High School Musical 3’ star Justin Martin was arrested Tuesday night after he was involved in a shootout.
A police report stated that around 10:15 p.m. officers arrived at a location in the Dorchester neighborhood after hearing gunfire. Martin and another armed male were seen fleeing the scene. The unidentified male opened fire on police, who caught up him with and the 21-year-old actor. they were both apprehended and taken into custody.
Law enforcement officials found a loaded .22-caliber handgun on Martin and another.25 firearm on the second suspect. The name of Martin’s cohort has not been released because he is a minor.
TMZ reported that the actor was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm and two related charges.
He plead not guilty on Wednesday and his bail was set at $35,000.
Martin’s acting credits include Eye Candy, Cold Case, Blue Bloods and the critically acclaimed Denzel Washington film Flight.
