In its latest attempt to save The View, ABC executives are reportedly considering to drop either Nicolle Wallace or Rosie Perez. Both of them could be dropped in the new revamp.

Variety reported today that Whoopi Goldberg will stay on as the face of the show, but Wallace and Perez have been disappointing executives. The two have been on the show since September, although there were rumors that Perez was leaving in January. Rosie O’Donnell - who has since left the show herself - later said that Perez was not leaving right away.

Since creator Barbara Walters retired in May 2014, the show has been in a freefall, losing viewers and going through a carousel of hosts. Former Disney channel star Raven-Symone joined full-time last month as the newest co-host.

The View, which is now overseen by ABC News, will likely have five hosts next season. Variety reports that comedian Michelle Collins has drawn interest from ABC and is about to sign on.

The issue with Wallace is that she hasn’t quite riled up the talk show’s other hosts in the way that Elisabeth Hasselbeck used to and some at ABC worry that she doesn’t know enough about celebrities. As for Perez, she reportedly wants to go back to movies, so she might be looking to exit anyway.

Goldberg’s contract is up next year, so that’s when things will get really interesting when it comes to the show’s future.
