Andy Cohen might have taken things too far.

The outspoken personality is getting backlash for naming Amandla Steinberg “Jackhole of the Day following Sunday’s episode of Bravo’s Watch What Happens: Live.

“Today’s Jackhole goes to the Instagram feud between Kylie Jenner and Hunger Games star/Jaden Smith’s prom date Amandla Stenberg,” Cohen explained. “Who criticized Kylie for her cornrows, calling it cultural appropriation. White girl in cornrows, is it OK or nay?”

As we previously reported, Steinberg called out Jenner for misappropriating black culture when the reality star posted a picture of herself with cornrows. She was also accused of failing to use her “position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards [her] wig instead of police brutality or racism.”

While his guests Orange is the New Black star Laverne Cox and Vogue editor Andre Leon Talley did not see anything wrong with Jenner’s hairstyle or Cohen’s “jackhole” label, viewers had a different take on the incident, notes The Root.

Many took to Twitter to voice their disapproval for the host. One viewer said, “Screw @Andy and @Bravotv for attacking a child.” Cohen was also called a “drunk fool” and “Jackhole of the decade.”

Cohen made an official apology to Steinberg on Tuesday via Twitter. “I want to apologize to Amandla. I didn’t understand the larger context of this cultural discussion and TRULY meant no disrespect to her or anyone else,” he wrote.
