Anne Hathaway proved she has a great sense of humor, responding to a joke about her in Amy Schumer and Bill Hader’s Trainwreck.
She uploaded a photo of her ticket stub on Monday, proving she saw the movie for herself. The joke was that Schumer’s character made fun of Hader’s character for carrying around an award he received, like Hathaway after winning her Oscar for Les Miserables.
“Dear @AmySchumer, Don't pretend like when you win your Oscar- which you could for your brilliant and refreshing writing and/or acting in @TrainwreckMovie- you won't tote it around to every Oscar party you go to. Way to slay, Annie,” Hathaway wrote.
Schumer has since responded on Twitter, giving credit to Judd Apatow for writing the joke. “I love you Anne Hathaway,” she replied. “I have no problem selling out and telling you that that was @JuddApatow s joke he made me say! #truth.”
As for Apatow, who directed the film, he tweeted, “I stand behind that joke @amyschumer. Bill looked like an Oscar winning actress at an Oscar party!”
