Blues singer B.B. King died of natural causes, according to NBC News. The singer passed away on May 14 at age 89. The autopsy reports that King’s death was due to complications associated with his Alzheimer’s disease, as well as old age. The singer also had Type II Diabetes.

King’s funeral was held on May 30 in Indianola, Mississippi. At the service Bennie Thompson, a U.S. Representative of Mississippi, read a letter from President Obama praising the late singer for his music.
In May King’s daughters, Karen Williams and Patty King, made claims that their father was murdered. The daughters believed that their father’s business manager, LaVerne Toney, and his personal assistant, Myron Johnson, poisoned him.
The signer’s health had been going downhill over the past year, and he was in and out of the hospital in the months before his death.
King was famous for his contributions to the blues genre, including his hits such as “The Thrill Has Gone,” “Three O’clock Blues,” “Rock Me Baby,” and many more.
