Eugene Mirman, who’s best known for voicing Gene on Bob’s Burgers, has taken a stand against a pesky $15 parking ticket by taking out an ad in a local Portsmouth, New Hampshire paper to write an open letter about his disappointment.
It all started when he took a stroll around Portsmouth with his girlfriend and when they got back to their rental car, the ticket was in the windshield for being "parked in the wrong direction.”
The ad he took out was addressed to the town of Portsmouth and its Parking Clerk’s Office.
“What kind of horse$&it charge is that?” he asked of the ticket. “It’s illegal to back into a spot? Before I embarrass myself, I want to make sure that Portsmouth is still inside the United States and not considered a part of Iran?”
He also joked the ticket would be a “fight to the death” before signing the open letter “With Great Disappointment In You.”
Mirman took to Facebook to post a photo of the car, writing “Here's a photo of the rental car in the parking garage in Portsmouth, NH and the photo of the ad I took out in Portsmouth's Summer Guide to voice my displeasure.”
