In a new blog post, Caitlyn Jenner opens up about how speaking at the ESPYS this year was a huge fear to conquer.
The 65-year-old former Olympian and reality star looked fabulous as she stood in front of the crowd for her first major appearance since she transitioned into a woman. However, she reveals that she felt insecure and was nervous the entire time she spoke.
In her latest post on her personal website written on Monday, Jenner admitted that growing up with dyslexia, she was concerned about speaking in from of a huge auditorium of people when she accepted the Arthur Ashe Courage Award last week.
"As a dyslexic kid, my biggest fear in life was to go in front of the class and read because I just wasn't very good at it -- and that stays with you through your whole life," she wrote.
But the star dazzled in her Donatella Versace gown as she read the teleprompter to make her speech clear because she says her words was very important despite her voice issue.
"While I felt like I looked great and that the gown looked fabulous, I still have a voice issue. It's not quite right compared to my feminine appearance. That bothers me a little bit," she said. “However, I hope that people don’t listen to the pitch of my voice, but listen to what I have to say. That's important to me."
Despite how nervous she was Jenner empowered the crowd with her confidence. Watch the clip below.
