Cara Delevingne is defending her sarcasm during the incredibly awkward Good Day Sacramento interview she did this week to promote her film Paper Towns, chalking it up to her British sense of humor.

As we previously reported, Delevingne’s interview was cut short when the newscasters told her to “take a nap” because she seemed a “bit irritated” and “exhausted” after answering some of the questions with sarcasm.

She took to Twitter on Wednesday and wrote, "Some people just don't understand sarcasm or the British sense of humor.”

She also retweeted some fans who supported her, like one who wrote, “You get @Caradelevingne to give ‘better answers’ n this interview by asking better questions/saying her name right.” He was referring to the anchor calling her “Carla” instead of Cara.

Delevingne also retweeted actor Zach Braff, who wrote it was “condescending to ask an actress if she's read the book” of a film she's starring in. She even got support from Boy George.
