Cara Delevingne’s interview with Good Day Sacramento on Tuesday while promoting Paper Towns could be one of the most awkward celebrity interviews to date, with their exchange going downhill pretty much right off the bat.
Delevingne looked extremely annoyed as soon as they called her “Carla,” then answered a lot of their questions sarcastically from there. She also made some painful-to-watch faces at the camera, where she did the interview via satellite.
Some could argue the interviewers were asking some condescending questions, so Delevingne didn’t look too happy about that.
When she was asked if she read the John Green book the movie is based on prior to filming, she replied, “Uh, no. I never read the book or the script. I kind of winged it. No, of course, [I did.] John Green is an incredible author,” Us Weekly reports.
When the news anchors thought they’ve had enough of trying to get her to answer their questions, they actually dismissed her and told her to “take a nap.”
“You seemed a lot more excited about [the movie] than you do right now? Are you just exhausted?" she was asked. Delevingne then tried to explain the premiere was the night before and she didn’t have a lot of energy because “it’s the morning.”
“You seem a bit irritated, perhaps it’s just us?” said one of the three anchors interviewing her. “No. I think it’s just you,” the model responded.
"We'll let you go then, how about that?” the newscaster then said. “We'll let you go and take a nap and maybe have a Red Bull."
