Cody Walker, brother of the late Paul Walker, found himself a real acting job.
The 27-year-old landed himself a role in the World War II movie USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage.
Deadline Hollywood was first to report that this would be a major acting gig for Walker who starred in Furious 7 after his older brother's death. The older Walker died in a tragic car crash in 2013.
According to Variety, Walker will play one of the crewmen in the film.
Approximately 2,000 crewmen will be involved, although 300 of them go down with the sinking ship. The others face dehydration and saltwater poisoning as they wait to be rescued. Walker will be among these actors.
Nicholas Cage will also be featured in USS Indianapolis. Cage will play the role of Captain Charles Butler McVay who owns the ship.
USS Indianapolis is directed by Mario Van Peebles. The script of the film is written by Cam Cannon and Hannibal Classics principal Richard Rionda Del Castro. In addition, the film will be produced and financed by Del Castro and Michael Mendelsohn of PAtriot Pictures.
Congratulations to Walker for landing his first major acting role in the film alongside Cage.
Although unconfirmed, the film is scheduled to be released over the 2016 Memorial Day weekend.
