Conan O'Brien appears to have been inspired by Mad Max: Fury Road. The late night host channeled the film with his show stopping entrance into San Diego Comic Con.
O'Brien and Andy Richter released a parody video that opened the late night show on Wednesday. The video showed them driving down to San Diego, complete with a Mad Max inspired vehicle. Ritcher was dressed as Immortan Joe and O'Brien was strapped to the high speed ride with a flaming guitar. "Guitar Guy" became a sensation following the films release and O'Brien pulled off the character complete with checking the GPS for directions.
Not wanting to be left out of the video, Jimmy Vivino and the Basic Cable, the resident band for Conan, are the over the top drum squad on the back of the truck.
O'Brien will be hosting his show at the Spreckles Theatre in San Diego. The show will be taping from July 8 to July 12, 2015. He will be hosting panels with the cast of Mockingjay Part 2 and The Last Witch Hunter.
San Diego Comic Con kicks off today and runs through Sunday. The event will feature panels from Batman v. Superman, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and LucasFilm with The Force Awakens.
