Daniel Radcliffe stopped by the NYLON Magazine offices in New York and filled in as the front desk receptionist for an hour.
The Harry Potter star appeared to be in over his head as he dealt with other employees and visitors. He even had to figure out what to do with incoming and outgoing package deliveries.
Some people didn't seem to recognize Radcliffe, while others asked for photographs with him. Pop singer Joe Jonas even stopped by for a bit.
A NYLON employee wrote a piece for the magazine's website in which she stated her disbelief when she went to grab a bag of Cheez-Its and saw Radcliffe sitting at the front desk along the way.
"That was strange. Was I supposed to say something? Should I say something? Probably not," she wrote. "Then, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed another sight. It was an intern, crying. My peripheral vision was not failing me that day. They were tears of shock and, I think, joy."
The unnamed employee also pointed out that she "received no phone calls during that hour." The package that she was expecting "never made it to [her] desk." But the employees didn't seem to mind that Radcliffe was like a deer in headlights every time the phone rang or someone came up the front desk.
The employee wrote, "I looked around and I saw a lot of smiling, blushed faces."
