Elizabeth Hasselbeck is making headlines for her theory on what could’ve happened between Sandra Bland and her arresting officer before she was forced out of her car when being pulled over for failure to use her signal.

As we already know, Bland was pulled over in Texas on July 10 and found dead in her jail cell on July 13. It was ruled a suicide but her family wants answers because a lot of the story just doesn’t add up.

When former NYPD officer John Rafferty appeared on Fox & Friends to go over the confrontation with Hasselbeck and Brian Encinia step-by-step, he explained to her the officer was not justified in removing Bland from her car because his safety simply wasn’t in danger.

That’s when the former View co-host offered, “There are times, I’m sure, someone has, in the history of this land, used a cigarette against a police officer, maybe chucked it at him, pushed it at him.”

“If he indeed felt it could be a potential threat, was that the wise thing to do?” she asked.
