It looks as though Emma Watson is safe and sound after a recent rumor that she was the target of a kidnapping scare on the set of her new movie, Beauty and the Beast.

The Sun reported on Sunday, that two studio workers were plotting to either rob or kidnap the 25-year-old actress at Shepperton Studios near London but a taxi driver overheard the conversation and told his bosses, who then told the studio staff. This led to an increase in security on set and around Watson.

But a publicist for the film told Vogue U.K. that the reports were false.

"The story was looked into by production and found to be unsubstantiated and untrue," the spokesperson said.

This was not the first time Watson has been the target of stalkers, according to the Daily Mail.

Back in 2012 when Watson was filming her movie Noah on Long Island, a man snuck on set and approached her in the woods, giving the actress quite a scare. Watson identified the man as the same man who had been hanging around outside of her house.

Watson was also given a full-time body guard after receiving sinister letters while studying in the U.S. back in 2011.
