Colin Cowherd, who has been an ESPN radio voice since 2003, is leaving the network.

Station President John Skipper announced the news on Thursday.

“We’ve enjoyed a mutually beneficial run with Colin for over a decade,” Skipper told The Big Lead. “He came to national prominence on ESPN with his unique perspective on sports and society. Endings also bring new beginnings, for ESPN and Colin, and we thank him and wish him the best.”

TBL reported that there have been talks between the 53-year-old and FOX Sports and that's where he's headed.

In 2003, Cowherd was tapped to replace Tony Kornheiser for the late morning time slot on ESPN Radio. He then served as co-host on SportsNation from 2009 to 2012 and in 2013 began hosting the ESPN Sunday morning pro and college football talk show Colin's New Football Show.

The network has been cutting cost and recently did not renew the contracts of personalities Bill Simmons and Keith Olbermann.
