Hilary Duff got the “most embarrassing kind of ticket” in Beverly Hills, Calif. recently.
Duff was trying to get home, during a busy day, to her son for an hour, when she got a pretty pricey ticket for jaywalking, after she parked her car and paid the meter, notes Just Jared.
“I had the the busiest day,” she said to KIIS FM. “I had vocal rehearsals, dance rehearsals…I had an hour break and zoomed back to Beverly Hills to paint pottery with my kid.”
The 26-year-old told KIIS FM that she had no idea why she was being “pulled over” and when the police officer asked she said, “Um...I did a U-turn to get that parking spot? And he’s like ‘No, I didn’t see you do that.’”
She seemed to think it was funny now though, but she did have to pay a hefty 200 dollars for the violation.
“I mean, if you want a funny story...jaywalk,” she joked. “If you don’t want a ticket, and you want to live your life on the safer side, following all the rules...take the crosswalk.”
