The man behind leaking Madonna’s Rebel Heart album after hacking her personal devices, Adi Lederman, has been sentenced to 14 months in jail.

Madonna did not take the leaks well, calling it “artistic rape" and forcing her to release six tracks earlier than she intended.

Lederman was arrested in Israel in January. In addition to his sentencing at Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court on Thursday, he was fined NIS 15,000 or about $4,000. In February he was charged with computer trespassing, prohibited secret monitoring, copyright infringement and obstructing investigation.

The Jerusalem Post reports the sentencing and fine was part of a plea deal he agreed to.

Before hacking into Madonna’s computer and stealing her songs, Lederman was best known for his audition on Israeli TV show Kochav Nolad, which means A Star is Born, their version of American Idol.

Authorities believe Lederman has hacked into other celebrities’ accounts with intentions of selling the songs.
