After Subway commercial star Jared Fogle had his house raided by federal and Indiana state officials in a child pornography investigation, the sandwich chain announced that it is suspending their relationship with him. In addition, Fogle’s cameo in Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! has been deleted.
On Wednesday, Fogle’s Zionsville, Indiana home was searched by investigators. While authorities would not comment on the case, it comes two months after Russell Taylor, the former executive director of the Jared Foundation, was charged with possession of child pornography.
Subway initially said that they also believe the search had to do with Taylor’s arrest. Fogle’s attorney later said that he was completely cooperative and was not arrested.
On Wednesday night, Subway announced that it will suspend their relationship with Fogle. “Jared continues to cooperate with authorities and he expects no actions to be forthcoming. Both Jared and Subway agree that this was the appropriate step to take,” the company stated.
Meanwhile, SyFy told TheWrap that Fogle’s Sharknado 3 cameo has been cut from the film, which will air on July 22. Fogle did make an appearance in last year’s Sharknado 2: The Second One.
