JoJo has no regrets as to where her life is right now, when it comes to having a family.
“My ex is married and having a baby,” the singer tweeted. “I’m over here married to MUSIC and pregnant with this ALBUM.”
It has been nine years since JoJo has released an album, because of a long-going dispute between her former record label, Blackground Records, for not releasing her third album. In 2013, JoJo sued Blackground Records and Da Family for breaching her contract, whilst trying to get out of the contract. Back in December of 2013, she signed with Atlantic Records and has been working on her new album since.
In the years between her second album, The High Road and signing with Atlantic Records, JoJo released several free mixtapes and back in April, she released her first single in nine years, “Far From Heaven,” according to Entertainment Weekly.
JoJo wrote another Twitter post saying, “There are so many things I want to accomplish on my own before seriously thinking of starting a family. #birthcontrol”
A fan wrote to the 24-year-old, “Girl it is time to induce. That baby has been in way too long,” in which she responded, “Lord KNOWS I know!!! It’s a big. friggin. baby.”
JoJo has not announced a release date for her album, but hopefully it’s not too long. Her fans, and she, have waited long enough.
