Joy Behar has revealed she turned down an offer from ABC to return to The View. She left the show in 2013 after 16 years.

Behar appeared on WBAZ's radio show and told Walker Vreeland she was approached to come back for the 19th season, but they ultimately couldn’t make it happen. She also called her departure two years ago a “fairly mutual decision,” saying someone sort of pushed her out.

“I'm not always sure exactly why that happened,” she said. “I was ready to go. I had had enough,” she continued, adding, “I think that somebody—I can't mention names—made the decision to change the show for some reason. So Elisabeth Hasselbeck and I both had to leave.”

She went on to talk about being approached to return, saying they wouldn’t allow her enough “power” to justify returning.

“They wouldn't really negotiate well enough for me” she said, E! Online reports.

“If they would give me a bigger role on the show and give me some power to...make some changes and let them benefit from my expertise after being there for 16 years...But they're not going to do that," she continued. "So why would I want to bang my head against the wall?"

There are also rumors Sherri Shepherd would return next season, after ending her 7-year run last year. Michelle Collins has been named Rosie Perez’s replacement. All that’s left is Whoopi Goldberg, Nicolle Wallace and Raven-Symone, though it’s rumored Wallace is on her way out, too.
